William M, Hayes, MD, FAAOS
Dr. Hayes is a Board Certified, Sports Medicine fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon who has been in private practice since 1997. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Hayes is a Texas A&M Former Student. He is an honors graduate from The University of Texas Health Science Center - SA and completed orthopedic residency at The University of New Mexico. He completed an additional year of training in sports medicine/arthroscopy in Southern California in 1996. He is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.
Dr. Hayes' professional interests have included cartilage restoration as well as disorders of the shoulder. He performed the first cartilage transplant in Houston and continues to lecture and teach treatment options for complex shoulder pathology. After a seven year productive career in Tomball, Dr. Hayes and wife Denise decided to change course, and in 2005, created Sterling Ridge Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine.
Dr. Hayes and wife Denise have lived in The Woodlands since 1997. They have two adult children. Their oldest, Maddie, graduated from The Woodlands High School and The University of Denver. She works for Google in Austin. Their son, Peyton, graduated from The University of Southern California and works in New York.
